Functional, but flimsy.

I’m very disappointed in this stand after purchasing and putting it together. It does appear in your home exactly as the photos here once you assemble it. Which is very fine. However, you’ll find as you near the final steps and likely need to turn the thing over to finish a few things that the whole build is VERY flimsy. I’ll be honestly surprised if this thing lasts a move to another home, it really doesn’t appear as if it will last just being moved to another room. No matter how tightly you put it together it’s still going to wobble. I’m not so upset considering how cheap it is, however if I had actually seen it wobble in person I would have passed on it completely, you’re definitely getting what you pay for.

Nice size and color

The stand is a good value for the money. However, the front piece was incredibly difficult to install. It took 4 different people, 2 of them professional handymen, before 1 of them could do it. 2 of us put it together in about an hour and a half. So, if you’re not technically inclined, this may not be the best choice for you. I like the way it looks though the shelves are so deep you have to pack the dvd’s really tightly to make them stand up.

Wonderful Cherry Wood TV Stand

I absolutly love this wonderful 48″ Cherry Finish Wood TV Stand Console with shelves. It is absolutly wood and not those composits that so many are made of. It is absolutly beautiful and matches my other cherry wood furniture. It is exactly as pictured and comes very carefully wrapped and strapped. It is easy to unpack and very elegant looking. For the money this is an exceptional value. We had looked at many other stands and this is by far the loveliest and it sits up off of the floor/carpet for easy cleaning. I can’t say enough how much I love this beautiful piece of furniture. You won’t be sorry you purchased it! My son put it together for me in less than an hour (and he is a perfectionist).

Nice but…

The product is nice but the fit of one of the legs was not as seamless as I would have expected for this price and I needed to touch up this seam with a little cherry stain but overall a good-looking piece of furniture with a nice finish and looks great. I would recommend this product.

Not as easy to put together as it seems

I ordered this as it seemed to perfectly fit with my end table and what I wanted in a tv stand. It was not put together and was not easily assembled. I have contacted the company 2K designs several times. The first thing they wanted was for me to remove my written review, which I did, because they promised to send me an end piece that did not fit. After removing my negative review they called back and did not send the end piece I needed. Seeing it again on Amazon under another company name I called again. They said that was a sister company and would see if they could get the piece I needed. No piece, no satisfaction and no calls. This piece is made in China. I just need the end piece because, as another reviewer said, the holes don’t line up on one side. I had the same problem. So I am asking, How can I get this piece? They offered me my money back after I shipped it back to them. But I don’t know if I can trust them. I am out over $200.00 on this thing that is partially put together and sitting in living room. I would love to have the piece I need to finish it. What can I do?

Sauder TV Stand

The picture does not give this TV Stand justice. It is very sturdy and a very nice looking piece of furniture. It took about two and a half hours to put together but well worth it. I looked at similar ones at local furniture stores and unless I wanted to spend upwards of 7 plus dollars I am very well pleased with the Sauder.

finish darker than pictured

Love the TV stand. storage is more than sufficient. perfect size for my 46″ TV.
Only problem with the item is that it is darker than pictured. The picture gives the impression of a light oak finish, which is the exact color i was looking for. Item is actually what i would describe as a medium oak finish. Out side of the color it seems to be a great product at a decent price.

completely misrepresented

The Sauder Carolina oak finish TV stand is walnut, not oak, unless you’re colorblind. I have a house full of oak furniture and this is not it. Now I have a dark walnut piece in the living room and it’s too heavy to return, can’t even lift it to bring to the post office. Don’t waste your money!

Very solid, especially for the price

Clamps to the desk with two finger screws, which doesn’t seem like it would be very stable, but once installed it’s rock solid. No wobble, it doesn’t feel or look cheap. Very solid, relatively easy to install; height adjustment is only possible for both monitors at a time, not individually, but that’s no big drawback. Cable clamps along each arm, which feel a bit flimsy but work. Comes with a surprisingly good, big, rubber coated allen wrench to tighten the screw that holds the arms vertically. Quick adjustment of the monitors is not possible, so it’s a set-it-and forget-it mount. If you need to adjust monitor height frequently (such as transitioning from sitting to standing), this one’s not for you. It’s no-frills, but very good build quality. I don’t think I’d be able to find another monitor mount of this quality for this price.

Way better than expected given the price

This stand is extremely sturdy and adjustable. I’ve had it for over a year now and have not had any problems with it. When I first bought it, I was expecting something satisfactory at best, given the low price. Every other VESA mount I had seen was at least double to quadruple the price, so I figured I’d be cheap and get something that works barely. Instead, this stand exceeded my expectations in every category. It mounts easily, is solid, looks good, and lets me adjust the display’s tilt and angle with ease.

Excellent Product and Price!

Picked up this stand over the holidays. It has excellent quality! I have 2 Samsung 23″ monitors mounted on it with no problems. VESA screws that came in the kit worked excellent. Unit is very adjustable, tilt, pan, height, etc etc. It even looks great!. If you are looking to clean up the clutter that sits in and around your monitor bases then this fits the bill. Even comes with built in clips to manage your cords! I would highly recommend.

Quality mount — not cheap but low-cost (by design). Like it.

I was skeptical of this mount. Why should this be so cheap compared to other mounting kits? I ordered one (due to the price), and prepared to return it if I did not think the mount could handle the weight of the 52″ LCD TV (Samsung).

Once I got it, I understood the cost. Good low-cost design and built with solid heavy duty steel.
- Two horizontal bars are load-bearing, and for proper VESA spacing, they have to be parallel and relative distance must be in the right tolerances. These are made of solid steel.
- Two vertical bars (in the wall mount) are flimsey, and that’s ok. it should be solid enough make a rectangle box w/ square angles. That’s it.
- Two vertical mounting (to the TV) brackets are of heavy duty metal. Making this in to two parts (not one), reduction of material, but also allows free horizontal adjustment on the TV mount.
- By doing the above, the kit is small, uses less metal (and reduce shipping and material waste).

Positives
———
1. Good solid and heavy duty construction.

2. Good value (low-cost). Paid less than $ 25 including shipping.

3. Easy install. Took 15 min to figure out the instruction (which is not totally clear), and 10~15 min to install and ready to watch.

4. built-in level worked well during marking of mouting holes on the wall –I tested w/ my own, and was consistent.

5. Once the mounted on the wall, and bracket on TV, you could adjust horizontal TV placement on the mount, just by sliding few inches left or right, post install. I expect this to be safe and true if the wall mount is directly screwed into the wall studs. I do not expect dry-wall install without the use of the studs to handle such adjustment.

6. The brackets on TV could also be used to adjust vertical TV placement by a few inches up and down. But for this one, you’ll need to lift TV off the bracket and adjust and pull back .

7. There is a reasonable space (I would say, just right) from the wall to the TV to get cables/connectors through WITHOUT using any expensive 90 degree connectors. Plenty of space between two horizontal bars to put extra power outlet and data HDMI cable outlet to hide all the cables.

8. This supports tilt up/down, and works well. Amazon product description does not make it clear.

Negatives

1. Just one. Clearer instruction so that I do not need to spend 15 min figuring things out. One could learn a lot form IKEA .
2. Packing/Packaging — Not necessarily Cheetah Mount issue — mine came w/o missing parts, although I noticed torn cardboard box edges and some parts COULD have been lost during shipping. Either double box, or have Cheetah use heavier box stock.

1. DO NOT forget to tighten the screws (2) on the bottom horizontal bars AFTER TV is placed on the wall mount — especially if you are in CA w/ quake. This is what prevents TV falling off the mount accidentally. But do not over-tighten (you are NOT securing from left-to-right movement).
2. Very happy w/ my purchase. Will get one more for my other TV.

Great TV Mount

The Cheetah mount is an incredible value. The mount is amazingly sturdy and very well built. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble the parts out of the box. Then another hour to mount the TV to the brick above our fireplace. I used 4 Quicktap blue masonry anchors to attach the mount to the wall, and it is so secure I could probably hang from the TV itself.

I was also pleased to find that the mount included all of the hardware (bolts, washers, spacers) that you would need to mount almost any VESA compatible flat panel. Our TV is a 52 inch Samsung (750 series) and the bolts I needed were included.

Overall, a great buy.

Can’t beat it for the price! Cheetah APTMM2B

Just installed my 42″ Plasma in our bedroom, and here’s my take:

This is actually a high-quality, very sturdy mount. When I took it out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised.

Now, here is the REST of the story…

The directions that come with this kit are mediocre at best. The pictures are vague, and only after wrangling with this pile of metal did I figure out how this thing is supposed to be assembled. First of all, the included drywall anchors are NOT drywall anchors at all — they are masonry mollies, and won’t work with standard residential drywall. Thanks for telling me before I put 4 gigantic holes in my wall, Cheetah!

So if you’re using this in your home, here’s what you need to do: 1. Assemble the rack on the floor/table/bed/whatever, and make sure it is square. 2. Find the wall studs, and mark them lightly with a pencil. 3. Hold the mount up on the wall where you want it, and the make sure the holes (not the “obvious” 4 holes) align with the stud marks. Adjust as necessary. 3. Level the mount horizontally, and drill pilot holes into the studs (make sure you are on-center!) and drill THROUGH the appropriate holes. 4. Use the included lag bolts to affix the assembled rack to the wall with an impact driver. 5. Attach the vertical bars to the TV, and then hook them on the installed rack. 6. Slide the mounted TV left/right, and tighten the clamps once the preferred angle is achieved. 7. Carefully screw the lower set screws into place (which hold the TV in place in the event that it gets bumped). PHEW! It took some elbow grease, and some joint compound to patch the errant holes, but once I figured this thing out, it actually made sense. I’d love to re-write the instruction booklet for these guys, but now that this thing is on the wall, it’s STAYING there! I was just at today, and they have the EXACT same mount, under a different brand name, for $140.00. Had I purchased their product, I’m sure this review would be a tad more negatively biased.
