EASY ASSEMBLY, GREAT LOOK

TOOK ABOUT 10 MIN OR LESS TO ASSEMBLE, VERY EASY, A CAVE MAN CAN DO IT.
WHEN FINISHED, LOOKS GREAT, GREAT SUPPORT. MOST OF THE WEIGHT IN THE HEAVY BASE, THAT PREVENTS IT FROM LEANING OR FALLING. I GAVE IT 5 STARS,.I WISH I CAN GET IT IN THE DARKER COLOR THOUGH. PLANNING ON BYING A SECOND ONE.
PS: HAS A LOT OF HOOKS TO HANG EVERY KIND OF CLOTHS. MULTIPLE LEVELS AND A MODERN OR TRANSITIONAL LOOK TO IT.

Good buy but just a few caveats

The coat rack (tree) is an splendid purchase, well worth the money. I rec’d it from Fed Express within a day of ordering, reasonably well packed and no breakage. The base is heavy and provides solidity so it is improbable to tip over, even if you do not hang items all around 360 degrees so it’s unbalanced in weight. The placement of constituents is well engineered, permitting for a lot of hooks but spaced so that it doesn’t look messy. A few caveats. First, there is no cost differential amongst the oak and natural finish versions — altho the base price and shipping costs differ considerably, the totals come out the same. (No free shipping since they come from outside Amazon.) I chose natural for a more progressed look but otherwise, they seem identical. Second, unfortunately, the base is fancified with raised rococo accents which is a jarring contrast to the other than as supposed or expected modern lines and materials. Mismatched not just because the base is made of a dissimilar material (plastic? ceramic?) than hardwood but also because the base is a dissimilar color and style altogether. Third, altho it was not intellectually challenging to assemble, other reviewers make it seem more comfortable and more immediate than it was for me — at least the constituents I received. It came with a one-sided instructions page, with no explanatory text, only drawings of the parts, by letter, and a drawing of the finished assembly. Nothing said in regards to the order in which to assemble the parts. (What worked for me was to assemble from the base up.) Although not a big deal, it would have saved a little time had the plastic bags with the elements been labelled with the letters found on the instruction page. Some knobs and tubes took me ten minutes EACH to screw or push in because galore of the openings were too little so had to be screwed and screwed, with sawdust left behind on the kitchen floor. (The opening for one knob is too little so could not be screwed in and another could not be inserted because of the obstruction of a metal rod right behind the hole), but I turned the rack around so those flaws won’t be seen, and I’m only short one hanging appendage.) Other than these little concerns, I’m a happy client since my house does not have a coat closet.

BETTER THAN EXPECTED !

This is a terrific coat tree. It takes up much less space than some others that would not hold as much. It arrived in 2 days! The assemblage was super simple, the price very reasonable. I am very happy with this purchase.
