TOTAL PIECE OF JUNK … STAY AWAY

I am 100% disappointed. I purchased these precise tv trays at a store in my local mall. The store has super cute, trendy pieces & I wrongly assumed that their high prices meant high quality. Anyway, here is the basis for my 1 star review. First I’ll say the one star, which is likewise required, is for the overall look. I may frankly say I’ve never seen a better looking set of tv trays. Other than the actual aspect this set is a total piece of junk. The instructions to put together the stand were incomplete. Instead of there being 12 identical screws like the directions implied, there were 4 long screws & 8 more or less shorter screws. I didn’t observe this until I was almost done putting it together so I had to take the whole thing detached & begin over. Although annoying it was not a huge deal & was effortlessly fixable. The next problem I came across was each tray was shrink wrapped. This seemed like a good thing until I tried to remove the plastic. Whoever fabricated these wrapped the trays primary & then attached the legs with screws. This made removing the plastic closely impossible. I couldn’t tip off the plastic because it wouldn’t tear evenly. I ended up having to use a knife to cut the plastic so there wouldn’t be stray pieces hanging. This resulted in apparent cut marks in the dark wood. This was also annoying but I knew it was under so it wouldn’t show. Here comes the deal breaker… This morning when used for the firstborn time the screws ripped. The whole left half of the tray became unattached while my husband was attempting to fold down the tray to put it back on the stand. Needless to say, this whole set is going back this afternoon.

Trays

The trays are a bit shaky…and not as sturdy as I would wish, but they have worked well and were easy to put together. They are very beautiful, though one of the tops of the tray is starting to peel a bit, and we haven’t had them that long. They may be not rather worth the price. If I had it to do over again I might have just purchased plain black trays from Target or someplace for a fraction of the cost. However, these trays are very distinguishable and very beautiful. It is fun to get them out when we have company. I would commend purchasing them if you actually like the looks of them….then it will be worth it for you.

Nautical TV Trays

I purchased this for my mom. TV trays are cute, and somewhat sturdy. The screws on one of the trays had fallen out for the duration of shipping, so I had to put it back together. The TV tray stand is very cheap and generic. Per the instructions included with the stand, I did not get the rectify screws, and the pre-drilled holes were not placed correctly. Due to these problems, some of the screws stick out, but once the trays are on the stand, you don’t observe too much. I was astonished at the junky stand, but the trays are of a better quality. Stand/Trays might be priced a bit high for the quality, but I’m still happy with the buy (excluding the stand).
