Do you do not forget the old 3D movies of decades ago? Those movies had a great deal of cheesy 3D effects, but they were still fun to watch. To make the on screen action appear 3D, you necessitated to wear red and blue 3D glasses. Back in the day, this was beauteous cool. This day and age, there are better ways of making games and movies look like real 3D. Thanks to 3D movies such as Avatar from James Cameron, this new hype is benefitting momentum. The buyer has a high demand for 3D in his own home. The market has reacted to this demand by supplying the supply. This day and age, we have high definition televisions. A lot of modern television models now come with 3D functionality. To view movies in 3D, you’ll still have to wear suitable glasses. Some of these televisions are based on active 3D shutter glasses. Others are based on passive 3D glasses. Time will tell which one of these technologies becomes the dominant one. We will have to be satisfied with the 3D systems we have today, until one wins the battle. But 3D doesn’t need to be restricted to just movies, because it may likewise be employed in games. Of course, games have been 3D for rather some time already. But the problem is that the 3D environs is projected on a 2D monitor screen. Because of technical progress, graphics cards are starting to become genuinely powerful. Calculating two images while keeping up a decent frame rate, is starting to become feasible. The 3D graphics card’s computed images, may be displayed by a 3D monitor. Just like with the movies, you’d still have to wear 3D glasses to make the effect come to life. What I’d like to see in the future, is a 3D gaming glasses that will put the images right on your retina. A pair of glasses such as this will genuinely put you in the middle of the action. Game world immersion will be different from anything the world has ever seen. But before we see such technology, we must make due with what we have today. a 3D gaming kit was freed by NVidia a great deal of time ago. This kit was freed with active shutter glasses. Only one eye at a time may see an image, because the glasses will shut alternatingly. A 3D effect would arise, if a video game were to display images for the left and right eye alternatingly. The problem is that your graphics card will have to compute twice the frames. You could suffer from low frame rates. Also, you will still have to buy a compatible monitor yourself. So it may be rather expensive. However, the engineering will become a lot for less in the future, as it always does! |
