Quality, Style, Price

I purchased this unit before any reviews were available. I shopped for months, looked at more than 100 consoles priced $600-$2,000 at brick + mortar stores. When I opened this unit, it blew me away. Why?
1.Delivered *fully assembled* Comparable units were at least 2X the price at local stores, plus delivery.
2.It is solid wood, the finish is an utterly beauteous rich cherry brown. (not a “red” cherry)
3.Quality hardware
4.4 wood framed doors w/beveled glass inserts
5.Excellent Workmanship: doors are straight, corners + joints are tight, no seams, cracks or warping
6.Full extension glides on the center drawer (the inside of the drawer is nicely finished)
7.Style is current, transitional. There are other uses for this, such as an entry console.
8.Shelves are solid wood and adaptable – a large total of storage!
The quality compares to my Ethan Allen and Bernhardt furniture. It far outperforms the Pottery Barn bookcases that I remunerated 3X the price for. It’s heavy (220 lbs) was delivered freight to my door *assembled*. This isn’t cheap stuff. It’s well worth the full merchandising at $897 delivered, it was beneath $500 when I purchased it.
Cons? Look yours over before signing as harm may be concealed under the packaging (not my experience). And, well, perhaps I’d like to have a great deal of black speaker material to insert rather of glass in one of the doors for my theater system center speaker. But hey- this one’s a keeper. It looks stylish and high end. Amazon, you rock!
