What your TV is sitting on top of is almost as primary as the TV itself. These days a TV is a huge investment and paying over $1000 – $1500 is not not common for a huge screen LCD or Plasma TV. But with all of the choice available to you, how do you choose?

The best thing is to firstborn choose with your budget in mind. If you just expended $1500 on the TV you might not feel like you have a lot left to spend on a stand. They may be cheap TV stands but they are outstanding quality and are made of good materials that will last. The unit has to hold up the weight of the TV. That brings us to the next point.

The size of the TV determines the size of your stand. If you get a stand that is narrower than the width of your TV it will not look right when you see it. The top heavy aspect will be noticeable and you will not be happy with it. Under the heavy weight, the little stand could collapse or buck which could be dangerous. There is a danger that it could fall to the ground if someone bumps into the stand if there is a big divergence in size. The sound of your new TV falling to the floor is not something that you want to hear.

Choose a material that fits your other furniture. Go with a cherry finish if all of your other living room furniture is in cherry already. If you put a mahogany or other wooden TV stands in the room it will stand out and draw a lot of attention to itself.

Is it going to be in the corner of the room or in the center of the wall? There are specific units available if you are going to put the unit in the corner of the room. These units use the extra space offered by the corner as storage to maximize the space. A usual straight unit is perfective for being in the center of the wall. These units are straight and may be placed anywhere. You may use a straight unit in the corner but you may loose numerous usable space in your TV room.

Finding the right stand for you is simple, pick a budget, get the right size, choose your material and know it is location. If you get started with these criteria already picked out you will save yourself a lot of disturb and time attempting to sort through the a heap of dissimilar units that are available.

Excellent Quality for Tiny Price

I was very enjoyably amazed by the quality and ease of assemblage of this stand. It is more prominent than I expected and my 32 inch TV looks a little wimpy sitting in it.

The ONLY problem I had putting it together was that I was incognizant that the three pieces of glass are dissimilar sizes (duh, I know). Anyway, when you put this together, do not forget that the greatest piece is the top glass, the smallest piece of glass goes in the middle rack and the medium piece of glass is the bottom shelf.

A great, classy stand

The brand new, sleek 46″ HDTV (my first) looks fantastic on this 50″ black, evenly sleek stand. It’s very stylish and has clean lines…plenty of room for other items on the middle and bottom shelves…I now have just a Blu-ray and a DVD recorder beneath the new TV.
The stand could have been packed with more shelter for the three tempered glass shelves. The middle-sized shelf was smashed to smithereens on opening the inner carton, while the other two shelves were in perfective condition. GO FIGURE! Tech Craft was very helpful in getting the alternate shelf shipped out and it arrived in terrific packaging. There were just a few days until I had the third shelf for the finish stand.
The FedEx fella and I were both marveling why the outer carton from Tech Craft would only be labelled FRAGILE, yet the inner carton with closely no shelter for the three shelves was without doubt or question labelled FRAGILE — GLASS. I don’t recognise if it would support with future breakage to put GLASS on the outer carton, but it only makes sense to let those deliverance folks know they’re dealing with GLASS inside the substantial, heavy box.
Again, Tech Craft handled the substitute shelf with no questions asked and conservatively cushioned the new shelf. I am a happy customer!

Not Bad for the Price

We necessitated something for the new TV, but didn’t like much of what we have seen for beneath $800. This fills the bill for something that looks good until we find precisely what we want (which may be a number of years). It was a snap to put together, looks fine, and is rather reasonably priced. One screw was more or less damage. It was good sufficient for now, but I have requested a alternate screw from the manufacturer. There was likewise a slight scratch on the wood, but a little touch up must make it out of the question to find.
